Staff Reviews
As I leader I value feedback above everything. I asked my staff to reflect on me as a leader and as a worker. Here's what they said.
"The incredible work produced from our school's yearbook would not be possible without Ginger Johnston. Her ambition paired with compassion has fostered a productive and postive environment for Ceniad. Ginger is a source of guidance, in both content and personal lives, never failing to give it her all."
- Jess Mielock (10), First Year Writer
"Throughout my first year Ginger quickly became the first person I went to when I need it help. She made it apparent that she could always help since she checked in with all writer frequently. Having her as Editor-in-Chief this year is amazing because of the great work ethic she had with the writers last year. She is now able to push that on everyone else to get stuff done. Even though she doesn't grab content anymore, Ginger still checks in with everyone and helps grab interviews if someone can't. She keeps everyone on track."
- Abby Minnick (11) Copy Editor, Second Year Writer
"Ginger holds everybody to the highest standards. She keeps everyone on task and is a very strong leader. She wants everyone to succeed. I have learned so much under her leadership and she is one of my biggest role models in and out of school."
- Luci Hylen (10), First Year Photographer
"As an Editor-in-Chief of the 2023 Ceniad staff, I can say with ease that Ginger was one of the most dependable, responsible, most hard-working members of not just the editorial team, but the staff as a whole. She often took on more work that other staffers were not able to complete. I would routinely delegate her work and it would always be completed to the same high standard. I will always hold her in regard as an incredibly talented and hard-working writer."
- James Knake, Former Editor-in-Chief of 2023 Ceniad
"Ginger has the most beautiful trait of being able to command a group of people and ensuring there is no nonsense, all while bestowing sunshine on the whole staff. She is always ready to help, and makes herself extremely approachable on staff. However, she also does not put up with missed deadlines and sloppy work, and holds everyone to their highest standard. She is a pleasure to work with, as she has a great understanding on how to be a teammate, and what being a team requires."
- Amelia Pauly (12) Co-Editor-in-Chief of 2024 Ceniad
